She developed an interesting career as a director and screenwriter, which would have gone further if she had not been hit by the disease. Stacy Title passed away on January 11, 2021 from complications due to ALS, which she suffered from. Her husband, actor  Jonathan Penner, announced her death on Twitter.

Born on February 21, 1964, Stacy Title grew up in New York and made her debut in the movie business with the short film “Down on the Waterfront” in 1993, which earned her an Oscar nomination. Shortly after, he directed his first feature film, The Last Supper , starring  Cameron Diaz  in 1995, about a group of young friends with liberal ideas, who during one of their weekly dinners, in which they talk about a political or cultural issue, discuss and they laugh, they decide to commit a crime, to get out of the routine.

It was followed  by The Devil Wears Black , Hood of Horror,  Never Say His Name  , and the telefilm  The Greatest Show Ever .

In his first two films, the aforementioned Jonathan Penner participated as an actor , with whom he also wrote the version in telefilm format of The Lone Ranger , from 2003. Married in 1994, the couple had two children.

In 2017, Stacy Title became the victim of an accident, when a car rear-ended hers. After being admitted to the hospital she was diagnosed with ALS. At that time she was set to direct the film  Walking Time Bomb , starring Jason Alexander , Cary Elwes and Bob Odenkirk , but unfortunately, the physical deterioration suffered by her terrible illness prevented the project from coming to fruition.
