Stacey Dales is a Canadian athlete who is famous as a former basketball player and reporter associated with the National Football League. It’s not uncommon for athletes to turn to journalism in the latter parts of their careers, and luckily for Dales, she just had a love for the sport.

Stacey Dales was born on September 5, 1979 in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Despite being born in Collingwood, Stacey has spent much of her life in Brockville. Although very little is known about her early life, we do know that she had a passion for basketball from an early age.
Now coming to her academics, Stacey joined Thousand Islands High School and graduated from the school itself. Later for his graduate studies, Dales then joined the University of Oklahoma. While in college, Dales represented his country at the 2000 Olympics.

A few years after representing Canada at the Olympics, Stacey was also a First Team All-American in 2001 and 2002. Additionally, the talented athlete was drafted third in 2002 by Washington Mystics. It is one of the most remarkable picks ever made by a Canadian to date. Stacey was then picked in the expansion draft by the Chicago Sky before having to retire from the game she loved when she was diagnosed with Raynaud’s Syndrome
Despite retiring from the sport, all was not lost for Dales who soon turned to journalism. She joined ESPN as a basketball analyst for college basketball games in 2005. Additionally, she was also given the responsibility of a freelance reporter. However, after spending 3 years with the network, Stacey left ESPN over a contract dispute.

Turning now to the personal aspects of Dales’ life, she was a married woman and had been with her longtime boyfriend Chris Schuman. The two said their vows on April 13, 2002, but things clearly weren’t working out between the two. Sadly, the couple later had to separate and reports suggest she hasn’t been dating anyone for the past few years.
Looking more into Dales life, she has a cousin, Jason Arnott who is a hockey player and a Burke Dales brother who is a football player. At first glance, it seems his family has athletic blood running through their veins.
