Sophie Turner

on

Her frail appearance hid a strong woman. She has been able to endure the most terrible whims of those who handled her and to rebel against her destiny and her secondary role. The role of Sansa Stark in “Game of Thrones” has evolved season after season, while Sophie Turner was growing personally and professionally.

She was only 13 years old when, encouraged by her drama teacher, she dyed her hair red and auditioned for Game of Thrones . The effort was worth it because today Sophie Turner is one of the best-known young actresses on television. Sansa’s character, and the metamorphosis that she has undergone from her, has allowed her to develop her talent. Little remains of that girl with an arranged marriage that she limited herself to following the orders of her father. As she says “she has changed her image, now she has dark hair and dark clothes. She tries to run away from the Stark and Tully roots to become another person, herself ”.

Thanks to the fame that the series has given her, in 2013 she got the lead role in the telefilm The Thirteenth Tale , where she became a writer who traveled through England to write the biography of a famous woman. That same year, Sophie managed to be the protagonist of the film Mi otro yo , directed by the Spanish Isabel Coixet . In it she played a teenager chased by a girl who had adopted her own physical appearance and who wanted to steal her life from her. These two works have not had great media success, but they have helped her start her career outside of the famous series. And she looks like she’s not going to go wrong because she’s already worked with Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba onBarely Lethal and has carved a niche for itself in the great cast of the highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse .

Sophie Turner belongs to that group of young actors and actresses who have used Game of Thrones as a springboard for their professional career. Like Emilia Clarke or Kit Harington , she risks being pigeonholed in the role that she has introduced her to. But like them, she has plenty of time to show that she is not a flash in the pan, that her talent goes beyond a role in a television series.
