Smosh is one of the most popular Youtube channels, mainly known for its Sketch comedy content. The channel is run by two men named Ian Andrew Hecox and Daniel Anthony Padilla who are also the creators of the channel. Smosh was initially just a website until it became a Youtube channel.

Daniel Anthony Padilla was born on November 30, 1987 in Sacramento County, California, which makes his nationality an American. He’s actually the man behind the creation of the name, Smosh, which was also the name of the website he created in 2002. Padilla left the Smosh channel in 2017, saying he never didn’t have enough creative freedom.
Ian Andrew Hecox
Ian Andrew Hecox was born on September 16, 1987 in Sacramento County, California, which makes his nationality an American. Hecox met his future comic book partner, Anthony Padilla, when he was in sixth grade. Ian manages the channel himself after Padilla leaves the channel.
SMOSH CAREER AND SUCCESS
The Smosh channel was started by Ian and Daniel in 2005 when they started posting videos that were usually lip-sync videos to theme songs from Mortal Kombat, Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and others. Their video, Pokémon Theme Music Video, became an internet hit and over its lifetime gained around 24 million views.
From the year 2006-2012, it was a significant period of back-to-back successes as the channel experienced significant growth in its audience and views/subscribers. They have made some improvements to their websites by adding games sections and pop culture trivia. In addition, they have also launched 3 different web series based on Smosh. Likewise, they have also created “iShut Up App” for Android phones.
Later in the year 2012, the duo Smosh launched three youtube channels which helped them gain more viewership through channels which were ElSmosh, Shut Up! Cartoons and Smosh Games each contain a variety of content aimed at multiple audiences. However, Padilla announced his exit from the channel in 2017 to continue making personal efforts citing creative limitations. Meanwhile, Hecox continued to stick with the chain.
