Sid Haig was a veteran actor, film producer and musician. Many people recognized him for having worked in horror films, especially as Captain Spaulding in the Rob Zombie film ‘House of 1000 Corpses’. Plus, he’s called himself icons of horror cinema since Captain Spaulding was considered a modern icon of horror cinema. For forty decades he had worked on over 350 television shows and forty films.
Additionally, he received the Best Actor award at the 15th Annual Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, for his reprisal role in ‘The Devil’s Rejects’. Sadly, he passed away in September 2019 after being hospitalized in early September 2019. SID HAIG: BIO, FAMILY, CAREER
The veteran was born September 21, 2019, as Sidney Eddie Mosesian in Fresno, California, and grew up in an Armenian community. He was born as the son of Roxy and an electrician, Haig Mosesian. He did not share information about his siblings. Additionally, he began learning dance at the age of seven and was a paid dancer in a children’s Christmas pageant. After that, he joined a vaudeville revival show, and later became interested in music, especially drums.
He started earning money at an early age, however, his music career blossomed since high school when he signed a one-year recording contract. During his high school, he also enrolled in the Pasadena Playhouse after being encouraged by Alice Merrill. His first role came as a student in the short film ‘The Host’ in 1960, after which he had worked on screen until he was diagnosed with the disease.
His television debut dates back to 1962 in an episode of ‘The Untouchables’. Then, after appearing on many other programs including ‘Gunsmoke’, ‘Mission: Impossible’, ‘Star Trek’, ‘Get Smart’, ‘The Flying Nun’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’, many others. Working in dozens of films and series, he retired from acting in 1992 but had appeared in some films. In 2003 he worked in Rob Zombie’s first film ‘House of 1000 Corpses’.

Horror movie actor Sid married Susan L. Oberg on November 3, 2007. They dated for years before getting married. Since then, they have been together until the death of the actor. Further, after his death on his Instagram page to read ‘1939-2019 Sleep well, baby’. However, the couple together did not have children but stroked a dog.
Briefly looking at his wife, born September 11, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a Unity publicist and author. She worked as Haig’s publicist and was CEO of the Haig Group. The group was formed by the couple together. Additionally, she worked as a unit publicist for Little Big Top and Dark Moon Rising in the film industry. She had also worked as a boy piercer from 1996 to 2001 according to her LinkedIn profile.
He was hospitalized in early September after fainting at his home in Thousand Oaks, California. He was diagnosed with Aspergillus pneumonia during treatment when he noticed vomiting in his sleep. On September 21, 2019, he died at the age of 80.
