Shon Gables is a Dallas-based news anchor and reporter for WFAA-TV ABC 8. She has been active in the broadcast journalism profession for over 13 years. She made headlines after the judge issued the warrant for her arrest for contempt of court for defamation. She currently hosts the trade updates every Friday at 1:30 pm EST on Baltimore-based 105.7 FM WHFS.

Shon Gable was born on April 13, 1981 in the United States. She is of American nationality and belongs to the African-American ethnicity.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He has also served in the United States Army Reserves for seven years.
Shon Gables’ career
Shon Gables began her career at KWCH-DT as a reporter and host for the station’s public affairs program. She then moved to Oklahoma City to work at KWTV-DT as an education reporter and associate producer’s news anchor. She later began working at Detroit-based WDIV-TV as a general assignment news anchor/reporter.
She has also worked for New York-based WCBS-TV as a news anchor. She had also worked at CBS 2 News as a co-anchor of the This Morning program from 2003 to 2006. She had covered several major news stories at the time, including the New York City Subway Centennial Celebration, the Summer Olympics bid, the monument to the twin towers and the blackout of 2003.
Shon Gables has been a freelance reporter for WPIX-TV in the New York metropolitan area. She became the weekend morning anchor for WFAA-TV Dallas in 2010. After a brief stint at WFAA-TV, she faced a Detroit court’s arrest warrant for contempt of trial for defamation. WFAA-TV cut ties with her in 2014.

Shon Gables is an Emmy Award-nominated journalist. He received an Emmy nomination for Achievement On Camera. He has received awards from the National Association of Black Journalists and the Lee Evans Outstanding Journalist Award. Shon was honored with the New York City Media Excellence Award from the Harlem Chamber of Commerce in 2003. She was one of Network Journal’s 40 Under 40 Black Achievers.
