While raiding several shops in the area, the who were said to be carrying General Purpose Machine Guns, GPMGs maimed the innocent Nigerians, shooting sporadically into the air, after which they looted numerous shops and rustled some domestic animals belonging to the residents.
However, the police spokesman said that a joint team of security operatives are on the trail of the hoodlums as further investigation is ongoing.
Batsari local government area is one of the worst-hit by bandits in the state.
Meanwhile, in another news, some suspected gunmen have attacked the Ungwan Dooh (Mado) village of Zangon Kataf LGA of Kaduna State, killed nine residents and injured one.
A resident in the area, who identified himself as Jonathan Ali, while speaking with newsmen on Sunday said that the attacker came with the gun and started shooting sporadically, while residents fled in different directions.
Confirming the reports in a statement on Sunday, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan said, security operatives reported to the Kaduna State Government that troops of Operation Safe Haven, responded to distress calls and mobilized to the area.
