Scott Conant is an American restaurateur, chef, and cookbook author. In 2004, the magazine named him one of America’s Best New Chefs. In mid-2010, Scott announced that he was going to open two more restaurants in Las Vegas.
Early age and education
Scott Conant was born on February 19 , 1971 in Waterbury, Connecticut, United States. From a very young age he began to cook. From his mother, he has Italian ancestry. He is of American nationality and of white ethnicity.
When Scott was just 11 years old, he had already started taking cooking classes at the local community college. When he turned 15, Scott went to WF Kaynor Technical High School for Culinary Arts followed by the Culinary Institute of America (CIA).
During his time at the CIA, he did an internship at a famous restaurant called San Domenico in New York. After completing Scott’s graduation, he spent a year at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof to master the art of pastry in Munich, Germany.

Scott after spending a year in Germany returned to The New York Times, at the time it was a three-star restaurant for helping the restaurant collect and also for working as sous chef. In the year 1995, he was selected by Cesare Casella at II Toscanaccio, which was an Upper East Side Tuscan, to become a chef de cuisine.
After a year, Scott renovated two institutions, Chianti, which was on the Upper East Side, and Barolo, which was in Soho. Later, on the Bowery in New York, he became executive chef at City Eatery.
Scott, along with his modern take on Italian cuisine, caught the attention of New Yorkers. As a result, it garnered a loyal following and, from the New York Times, garnered a glowing two-star review in 2000.
In the year September 2002, he opened a restaurant called LImpero in Tudor City. Just after a week, the restaurant received a three-star review from The New York Times. In the restaurant, from the simplest to the complex preparation, he was almost always in control.
After a year, the cover of Food and Wine Scotts exclusive pasta appeared. In 2003, it received honors as Best New Restaurant in America, as well as Outstanding Restaurant Design from the James Beard Foundation.
In 2004, the magazine named him one of America’s Best New Chefs. In mid-2010, Scott announced that he was going to open two more restaurants in Las Vegas.
Scotts’ television appearances include guest judge on Top Chef seasons 2,4 and 5, judge on Chopped seasons 1-34, multiple appearances on Martha Stewart Living, Good Morning America and on The Today Show.
His first book was published in 2005 titled Scott Conants New Italian Cooking, Bold Italian, The Scarpetta Cookbook in 2008 and 2013 respectively.

Scott Conant is married to his long time girlfriend named Meltem Conant for over nine years. the couple got married in 2007 in Bodrum, Turkey. After dating for a few years, they decided to get married in the summer of 2007. They tied the knot in a private wedding in the presence of only close family and friends. The couple is very much in love.
Conant is blessed with two adorable daughters from his wife. One daughter’s name is Ayla Conant and another daughter’s name has yet to be revealed.
In an interview with Chefs Connection, Scott Conant said that he has worked around the clock and focused on his energy to become one of the best chefs he could be. He went out and learned about new recipes from other chefs.
Despite the fact that his career is very important to him, he said that his family is the priority for him and that they always come first, no matter what.
