BIOGRAPHY OF SARAH BETTENS

Sarah Bettens is the lead singer of Belgian band K’s Choice. Sarah and her brother Gert Bettens are the two best-known faces of the group. She is known for her enigmatic and raspy voice.

The group is popular in Belgium, the Netherlands and France, and has toured the United States with The Verve Pipe, Tonic, Alanis Morissette and the Indigo Girls, as well as on their own.

Bettens has also maintained a successful solo career providing vocals for film soundtracks including Underworld, Wild Things, Zus and Zo and most recently Leef!.

In 2003, K’s Choice broke up, with brothers Gert and Sarah exploring solo projects. Bettens made his own mini-album, called Go.

His first full solo album, Scream, was released in Europe on March 14, 2005 and in the United States on August 23, 2005. K’s Choice reformed in 2009 as ‘The new K’s Choice’.

In March 2007, she released an EP through the online music label Fuzz. His second album, Shine, featuring new mixes of tracks from the EP Fuzz, was released in 2007. It was produced by Brad Wood. The complete CD was distributed free with the October 13 edition of the Flemish newspaper De Morgen in Belgium, which sold 180,000 copies. Normally, this newspaper sells 95,000 copies.

In 2007, Sarah Bettens won an EBBA award. In late 2008, Bettens released the album Never Say Goodbye, which consisted of recordings of K’s Choice live performances and solo songs, covers, and new songs that had been performed on previous tours. The album is only available at concerts and on his online store.
