Sami Fehri (Arabic: سامي الفهري), born November 7, 1971. Tunisian entrepreneur, TV host, producer and director, known as the founder of the Tunisian channel El Hiwar Ettounsi. He also held the position of general manager of the production company Cactus Production.

Sami Fehri , keeps browsing without saying anything. Starting from almost nothing, he has become “someone”. He began his career as a presenter on RTCI at the end of the 1990s. Relying on his talents in the presentation of programs and his mastery of French, he decided to join Tunis 7 and Tunisie 21.
While he was only a radio host, in seven to eight years he became a real leader, both host, producer and director. He makes millions and makes millions. Sami Fehri is a versatile man. It is inspired by programs broadcast in Europe by offering them to the ERTT. However, the ERTT cannot be a broadcasting and production company; he therefore created his own production company, Cactus, on January 1 , 2002. Sami Fehri presents himself as the jack of all trades.
Biography and Lifestyle of Sami Fehri
From La Marsa, the chic suburb of Tunis, Sami Fehri was born on November 7, 1971. Father of two daughters, he began his career in the audiovisual sector towards the end of the 90s as a simple animator on the airwaves of the RTCI. In perfect French, its programs seduce rock enthusiasts, as well as those nostalgic for the classic.
Thanks to his talent for presenting programs and his mastery of French, he chose to join the Tunis 7 and Tunisie 21 channels. Then, he drew inspiration from the programs broadcast in Europe and offered them to the ERTT. He collaborated with Zine El Abidine Ben Ali’s brother-in-law, Belhassen Trabelsi , to launch Cactus Productions.
Sami Fehri produced the Tunisian version of Deal or No Deal, Dlilek Mlak. In March 2011, following the Tunisian revolution, Fehri created his own channel, Ettounsiya TV, later renamed El Hiwar Ettounsi.
In 2012, Fehri faced corruption charges and was arrested on charges of illegally using the Tunisian television establishment’s resources. His lawyers claimed that Sami Fehri was being wrongfully prosecuted for broadcasting “La Logique Politique”, an ironic program that mocks figures of Tunisian power, such as President Moncef Marzouki, the President of the Islamic party Ennahda, Rached Ghannouchi and the first Minister Hamadi Jebali. The show was later suspended.
He was finally released from Mornaguia prison on September 11, 2013. On October 29, 2019, the public prosecutor ordered a travel ban against Sami Fehri. On November 5, a decision of detention for a period of five days is ordered by the public prosecutor against him as judicial administrator of the company Cactus

Private Life, Career & Timeline of Semi Fehri
Dreaming of a big show, Semi Fehri travels to Amsterdam where he buys the rights to The Weakest Link show from Endemol to create Akher Karar . Then he starts looking for funds to make his show.
A year later, the program was broadcast twice on Tunis 7 and enjoyed great success between 2003 and 2005, achieving an 80% audience share. In 2005, he obtained the rights to another show, Dlilek Mlak , a cover of the one broadcast on TF1 and presented by Arthur.
Inspired by Fehri, the television channel buys the rights to shows like There’s only truth that counts, which becomes Andi Mankolek hosted by Ala Chebbi. Fehri also bought the rights to a children’s program, the Sofiène show , hosted by Sofiène Chaâri with Kawther El Bardi as a judge.
In addition, Semi Fehri directs and produces several series such as Maktoub, Awled Moufida and Baraà. All his series are broadcast during the month of Ramadan on his channel ElHiwar Ettounsi and They have all been very successful,

Little known facts
After the 2011 revolution, Sami Fehri was questioned by the courts about his association with Belhassen Trabelsi , which allowed his production company to have total control over the Tunisian media landscape. All his property and assets are confiscated and his company is placed under administration. He declares, in August 2012, that he is ready to indemnify all those who have established that his partnership with Trabelsi in the company Cactus has caused them harm.
the August 24, 2012, a warrant of deposit is issued against him. According to the indictment chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal, he is accused of illicit use of the resources of the Tunisian Television Establishment. Fehri claims live on Express FM that he was pressured by the government, in particular Minister Lotfi Zitoun , to suspend the broadcast of the program La Logique politique . The latter categorically denies any intervention to the Liberation correspondent in Tunis. Fehrisays he wants to go to prison on his own, before reappearing on August 29 in a video posted on the Internet where he says that “he is broke and penniless and even had to ask his friends for help to feed and support his family. According to his lawyer, he surrendered to the authorities the next day. Following an order from the Court of Cassation, issued on November 28, 2012, the producer remains in prison, the Ministry of Justice explaining that the cassation did not concern the warrant of deposit.
He was finally released from Mornaguia prison on September 11th, 2013.
