Same Sex Marriage: Indian Prime Minister Modi says, it is against social believe and acceptance

Chennai recently witnessed a significant turnout as the city celebrated Pride with active participation from people. However, India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s government, has dismissed calls to legalize same-sex marriage in the country, labeling them as representative of “urban elitist views”.

This is coming after the Prime Minister met the previous week with the President of the United States of America where the President of America and its people showered and praised the Prime Minister for his dedication and reaffirm the commitment of the two nations to each other.

Additionally, India like most Asian countries and Africa does not have a law that supports same-sex marriage. This is not because the law frowns at it alone, but the culture and, norms, tradition, and values of the states.
