Samantha Ponder is the name of an American sportscaster working for ESPN/ABC Networks who was formerly known as Samantha Steele. Samantha began appearing as Ponder after her husband’s last name on January 1, 2013.

Samantha Ponder’s full name is Samantha Sainte-Claire Ponder. She currently works as a reporter/anchor for ESPNs College Gameday, a sideline reporter on ESPNs Thursday Night Football, Super Tuesday and Saturday Primetime Basketball.

Samantha had moved to ESPN full-time in 2012. Prior to working full-time at ESPN, she had worked at the Longhorn Network as an anchor and reporter and at Fox Sports as a reporter and columnist.

Samantha, 28 years old in 2014, is a married woman. She is married to a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, Christian Ponder. They had a brief courtship that turned into marriage in 2012 on December 17, just days after her 26th ^birthday in Hudson, Wisconsin.
