Biography

Samuel Dedetoku popularly known as Sam Dede was born in Lagos State, the southwestern part of Nigeria on 17 November 1965. His State of origin is Rivers, a state in the Niger Delta region of southern Nigeria.

He completed both his primary and secondary education in Lagos state before he proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt where he studied Theatre arts. Also, he obtained a master’s degree in Theatre arts from the University of Port Harcourt.

The super talented and skillful actor Sam Dede love acting from childhood but began acting in secondary school. He engaged in all the school plays in school while he was in both secondary school and university.

However, he rose to fame after he starred in a Nollywood movie titled Ijele, a movie he co-directed with Fred Amata. He starred in the movie alongside other popular actors like Eucharia Anunobi, Tchidi Chikere, etc.
