Salman Khan Workout-Routine
Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan or commonly known as Salman Khan (sallu) is an Indian film actor who found success with the blockbuster ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ in 1989. Salman Khan is 46 and still a bachelor. He is also very generous and kind-hearted and runs a foundation “Being Human” to help the disadvantaged.

Salman Khan has a very intense workout routine. Due to his busy schedule, he sometimes has to train at 2am. He never misses it. His body also shows his commitment and discipline, which are the two pillars of his success. Khan trains at least 3 hours a day. Due to his best physique in Bollywood, he has been spotted in gym opening ceremonies and other bodybuilding commercials. He recently inaugurated NITRO Pure Fitness in Thane, Mumbai.
Salman is a fitness freak who focuses on his biceps, triceps and abs at the gym. People may think that this is the effect of the steroids, but that is not the case with him. Salman Khan does incredible things like 1000 push ups a day or 2000 sit ups a day says his fitness trainer who has been training Salman for over 6 weeks.
He’s a very tough guy and to keep his abs in shape he does 500 crunches, pull ups and chin ups. Really, he’s not a normal guy. I mean his stamina and stamina went to the other level. It is therefore not recommended to blindly imitate him. If you’re a beginner and want to have a body like his, do these exercises starting from a small number (e.g. 10 push-ups a day).
This is called “old style bodybuilding”. He also has a great love for cycling, which is his main cardiovascular exercise. He drives at least 10 km a day.
Salman has now become a great teacher in Bollywood too. He trained Katrina Kaif for “Dhoom 3” movie. He suggested Kaif to focus on cycling and swimming. He also took Arjun Kapoor (from 140 kg to 72 kg; Arjun is the son of film producer Boney Kapoor. Arjun made his acting debut in the 2012 film Ishaqzaade) from bold to fabulous. There are not just two, but other instances where Salman has proven to be a good coach.Great care has been taken to prepare Salman’s training schedule which is as follows:
Monday Wednesday Friday
He focuses on strength training.
- Salman first warms up by jumping, squats, and push-ups.
- He then moves to deadlifts to develop the leg and back muscles.
- He does bench presses – both flat and incline – to develop the chest and triceps area.
- Next, squeeze the shoulder.
- Do 10-15 reps, 6 sets for large muscles like the chest and generally 6 to 8 reps, 5 sets for smaller muscles like the arms.
- Finish with a cool-down by walking slowly on the treadmill.
Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday
Cardio and ab exercises are also important and he does these 3 days and Sunday is for cardio only.
- He begins by walking on a treadmill for 15 minutes.
- Next, he does an abs shift with crunches, reverse crunches, back extensions, and side boards. These are each performed 25 times in a cycle. Do 3 circuits, 5 minutes apart in each circuit.
- Next come the sit-ups, as announced 1000 times.
- He does 1 hour of cardio.
