Salah Mejri , born June 15, 1986 in Jendouba, is a Tunisian basketball player. He is the first North African to play in the NBA. Mejri trained for 4 years at the Etoile Sportive du Sahel with which he won two Tunisian championship titles, then in 2010, he joined the Belgian basketball championship. Salah took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics with the Tunisian team and finished as the competition’s top blocker. In 2013, Salah Mejri joined Real Madrid, and in 2015 he signed for the Dallas Mavericks.
