Sage the Gemini, whose real name is Dominic Wynn Woods, is an American record producer, songwriter, and rapper born June 20, 1992. He is best known for his single ‘Gas Pedal’ featuring Iamsu! (Sudan Ameer Williams). He is a member of The HBK Gang, also known as The Heartbreak Gang, founded by Iamsu!, Chief, and P-Lo in 2008.
Sage’s single ‘Gas Pedal’ charted at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, which was her first hit; which also reached number 6 and 4 on the Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs, respectively. She produced her own song “Red Nose,” which charted at number 54 on the Hot 100 and number 12 on the Hot R&B Hip-Hop Songs. The two songs were an extension of her debut ‘Gas Pedal’.
In August 2014, Sage the Gemini signed a contract with a record company called Republic Music. Since then, he has started releasing songs like ‘Remember Me’ (March 2014), Guantanamera and Good Thing (both May 2015). She has an upcoming album ‘Bachelor Party’ which will be released this year (2016).
By the time he was 11 years old, Sage began recording at home with his brother. He taught himself how to make beats, mixing and mastering and even producing, and he learned completely on his own.
