Sage Steele is an American television presenter, host and journalist. Currently, she co-hosts the 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter on ESPN with Randy Scott and Kevin Negandhi on weekdays.

SAGE STEELE: BIO, FAMILY, EDUCATION
Steele was born on November 28, 1972 in the Panama Canal Zone as Sage Marie Steele. She was born as the daughter of an African American father, Gary Steele, and an Irish/Italian mother, Mona O’Neil Steele. In her early childhood, she and her family moved to different states and countries including Greece and Belgium due to her father’s job. Her father served in the US Army. Subsequently, they settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1984 during his seventh year after returning to the United States. Steele has two brothers: Courtney and Chad, the vice president of media relations for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.
Sage attended Thomas B. Doherty High School in Colorado Springs for two years. She then moved to Carmel, Indiana where she attended Carmel High School as a senior and graduated in 1990. She then joined Indiana University in Bloomington in 1995 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. science in sports communication.
SAGE STEELE: PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
The same year of her graduation, she joined the CBS affiliate network, WSBT-TV in South Bend, India. There she was a sports reporter as well as a news producer until 1997. Then she left to join another CBS affiliate channel WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, and worked from 1997 to 1998. She worked as a sports anchor weekend mornings and weekdays. journalist. During this time, she covered Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis 500, as well as the BRickyard 400 auto races, local college, and more.
From 1998 to 2001, she worked at ABC subsidiary WFTS in Tampa, Florida. There she had the opportunity to work with former WFTS Athletic Director and former SportsCentre host Jay Crawford. Additionally, she has worked with Fox Sports Florida as a contributing reporter covering teams throughout Central Florida.

Before joining ESPN in 2007, she worked with Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Bethesda, Maryland from 2001 to 2007. There she covered stories on the network’s nightly local sports news program, SportsNite. During these times, she became the main anchor and beat reporter for the Baltimore Ravens.
After joining ESPN, she appeared on the 6:00 p.m. edition of SportsCentre. AND. Steele was the host of NBA Countdown at the start of the 2013-14 NBA season, covering ESPN and ABC throughout 2017. Additionally, she also hosted the 2017/18 Miss America Beauty Pageant with Chris Harrison on ABC .
