Early life and education of Ryan Guzman
Ryan Guzman was born Ryan Anthony Guzman on September 21, 1987 in Abilene, Texas to Ray Guzman and Lisa (née Hudson). His father is Mexican and his mother is of French, German, Swedish, English and Dutch ancestry. At a young age, he moved to his mother’s hometown of Sacramento, California. He also has a younger brother named Steven. He is very close to his family and attributes all his success to them.
As a child, he was interested in martial arts and earned his first black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of ten. He was a mixed martial arts fighter until his fighting license expired in 2010.
Guzman graduated from West Campus High School in 2005 and later attended Sierra College.

Ryan Guzman’s dream career was to be a baseball player, but unfortunately, due to his shoulder injury, he was unable to play anymore. After that, he decided to try his hand at pattern modeling. He worked with LOOK Modeling Agency, then moved to Los Angeles in September 2010 and joined Wilhelmina Agency.
She has also appeared in commercial campaigns for Old Navy, Candies, and modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch and Reebok, among others. Guzmán then hired a qualified manager for a possible acting career
After a fw months, he got the opportunity to work on the fourth installment of the Step Up film series, Step Up the Revolution in 2012. Guzmán also guest-starred in two films in the same year including 72 Hours with Empire and Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition.
In 2015 he played the role of Noah Sandborn in the American psychological horror film. The Boy Next Door and as Rio Raymond in Jem and the Holograms and I’ve worked with actors like Jennifer Lopez, Kristin Chenoweth , Ian Nelson , Aubrey Peeples , Stefanie Scott and Hayley Kiyoko.
As of 2018, Guzmán appeared as Jonesie in Armed and has worked in television series such as Chambers, All the Right Moves, Pretty Little Liars, Notorious, Chopped Junior. Similarly, he is working on the American drama series. 9-1-1 starring as Eddie Diaz opposite Connie Britton , Angela Bassett , Angela Bassett , Oliver Stark , and Aisha Hinds .
