In October 2010, Ryan Fraser made his professional debut with Aberdeen FC in a match against Hearts of Midlothian . At the time of his debut, he was only 16 years old.

  1. He lived in Oman for a short time because of his father’s job. However, when his father noticed that Ryan was good at football, he decided to quit his job and return to Aberdeen.
  2. In Aberdeen he made a good impression in the first half of the 2012/13 season. He was even recognized as Young Player of the Month in September and October 2012.
  3. In December 2012, Ryan decided to turn down a contract extension from the Scottish club.
  4. In January 2013 AFC Bournemouth paid Aberdeen a transfer fee of £400,000 to back Fraser. He signed a 3-year contract with the new club.
  5. His decision to turn down Aberdeen ‘s extension and agree to a move to Bournemouth did not sit well with supporters of the Scottish club. His parents had to mock their son’s decision to move to a substandard club. Bournemouth played in the 3rd tier of English football Aberdeen competed in the Scottish Premiership.
  6. After Bournemouth secured promotion to the English Premier League, they decided to send Fraser to Ipswich City on a season-long loan. While playing for his new club in the league, he scored 4 goals in 17 games.
  7. In December 2016, Ryan scored his first Premier League goal for Bournemouth in a 4–3 win over Liverpool . He came on as a substitute at half-time, with his team following 2-0. He won the penalty for the 1st goal, scored the 2nd and also assisted on the 3rd goal.
