Rumi Jaffery (born 1976) is an Indian screenwriter and director from Mumbai, Maharashtra (India). He started his career in the film industry in 1992. Furthermore, he wrote the plot of the Hindi film titled Payaal.

Filmmaker Rumi Jaffery questioned by ED officers for 8 hours in death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput
Officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) decided to record filmmaker Rumi’s ((NDTV)) statement. Jeffery contacted the Ballard Estate Office of ED at around 11:30 am on August 20, 2020 (Thursday).

He questioned for making a film with Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty. Furthermore, she supported the Mumbai Police in the questioning session following the death of the Rajput on June 14, 2020.
On 25 July 2020, Sushant’s family members filed a police case in Patna City against Rhea and her family members Indrajit Chakraborty (father), Sandhya Chakraborty (mother), Showik Chakraborty (brother) and the former managers Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.
The Sushant Singh Rajput family accused Rhea Chakraborty and filed a case against her.
All of them arrived at the emergency office after receiving the summons. ED’s investigative team is looking into the money laundering aspect of Sushant’s death case. Sushant’s father, KK Singh, reported that around Rs. 15 million Indian rupees transferred from his son’s account to unknown bank accounts.
The mobile phones and laptops of Ms. Chakraborty and her family members are in the hands of the emergency team. According to the Supreme Court verdict that came a few days ago, it revealed that the investigation of Sushant’s death case has been transferred to CBI officers.
Now, the truth will soon reveal that the famous actor murdered or committed suicide. CBI can call Siddharth Pithani for questioning as he was the first person to see Sushant hanging in the room.
