Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot , born Narquin on December 24, 1946 in Nevers, is a French politician, radio and television presenter. Daughter of a couple of dental surgeons, Roselyne Bachelot is destined for a career in the medical field. In 1988, she obtained her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Angers. At the same time, Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot made a career in the pharmaceutical industry and worked for various laboratories until the end of the 1980s.
It was his father who introduced him to politics at an early age. A former resistant, Jean Narquin was a municipal councilor for Angers, and a Gaullist deputy for Maine-et-Loire. Roselyne Bachelot was first general counsel, then deputy for Maine-et-Loire. In 1998, she stood out in the Assembly for her advocacy in favor of the PACS.

- In April 2016, Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal announced that he had filed a defamation suit against Roselyne Bachelot, for having accused him of doping. In this case, she was sentenced for defamation, on November 16, 2017, to a suspended fine of 500 euros and 10,000 euros in damages.
