Rodney Reed (born December 22, 1967) is an American criminal from Texas. However, he was sentenced to death by the court. Reed was charged with the rape of Stacey Stites (girlfriend of 19 years). Also, the girl victim got engaged to Jimmy Fennel (police officer, Giddings).
According to Lifestylepedia, his disappearance case was filed on April 23, 1996. Later, his body was found near a forest. Stacey’s belt was strangled on her. The DNA found on her body matched Rodney’s. She also confirmed her DNA information of her.
The two had a sexual relationship before the murder. Still, she also said that he did not kill the girl. The all-white jury found him guilty on May 29, 1998. He is now in the Bishop County Prison.
