Rod Daniel directed “Teen Wolf. De pelo en pecho”, one of the great successes of actor Michael J. Fox. The director died on April 16, 2016, at his residence in Chicago, at the age of 73.

Born in 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee,  Rod Daniel  began his professional career in television, directing and producing the sitcom  Radio Cincinnati for CBS. He then continued to deal with episodes of series like  Magnum .

He debuted on the big screen with  Teen Wolf. De pelo en pecho , from 1985, which became a great success, after the fact that that same year the protagonist,  Michael J. Fox , had also just triumphed with  Back to the Future . The actor played Scott Howard, a student who, after discovering that he was a werewolf like his father, used the abilities that becoming a monster gave him to succeed as a basketball player. “Actually it’s about the relationship between a father and a son,” the director declared at the time.

Rod Daniel’s journey continued in the field of comedy, with  Like Child, Like Father  (1989),  Super Agent K-9  (1989),  El Super  (1991) and  Beethoven 2: The Family Grows . He retired in 2002, after directing Home Alone 4 , the television sequel to the famous film, now without  Macaulay Culkin .
