Robert Lewandowski was born on August 21 1988 in Warsaw, Poland. His father was Krzysztof Lewandowski, a national judo champion and also a football player, and his mother is Iwona Lewandowski, a one-time football player for AZS Warsaw and also the vice president of Partyzant Leszno, and also has a sister named Milena.
Robert began his career at MKS Varsovia Warsaw, where he played for seven years. He later moved to Delta Warsaw, where he managed to play in the first team. he played quite well, and in 2006-07, he emerged as the Polish third division’s top goal scorer with 15 goals, and he became the Polish second division’s top scorer with 21 goals the next season.
Later, he played for Lech Poznan and after that, he was transferred. After featuring with Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League Final in 2013, Lewandowski agreed to join Dortmund’s domestic rivals, Bayern Munich, on a free transfer before the start of the 2014–15 season.
