Robert De Niro was born on August 17, 1943 in Manhattan, New York, United States. He was born the son of mother Virginia Admiral and father Robert De Niro Sr.

His mother was a painter and poet and his father was an abstract expressionist painter and sculptor. Her father was half Irish and Italian and her mother was of German descent.

De Niro’s parents divorced when he was three years old, and he was raised by his mother. The ethnicity of him is white American. His nationality is American.
