Rob Morrow was born as Robert Alan Morrow on September 21 , 1962 in New Rochelle, New York under the birth sign of Virgo. Morrow is the son of a dental hygienist mother, Diane Francis Markowitz and an industrial lighting manufacturer father, Murray Morrow . He has a sister, Carrie Morrow . When Morrow was nine years old, his parents divorced for some undisclosed reasons.

According to him, his childhood was complicated by his parents’ divorce. He said,

‘It had a definite impact on me. I started skipping school and getting caught up in petty, stupid things; I once stole a baseball glove.’

Morrow attended Miami Sunset High School, but withdrew at the beginning of his senior year to pursue a career in acting.

Rob Morrow began his theater career working for Norman Mailer and Tom O’Horgan . He worked on a hit Broadway show, The Exonerated which was based on the true stories of six innocent death row inmates.

In 1986, he co-founded the Naked Angels Theater Company with Fisher Stevens , Nicole Burdette , Pippin Parker , Charles Landry , Nancy Travis , and Ned Eisenberg .

T.V. series

Rob Morrow made his television debut in 1980 in an episode of NBC’s late-night television show, Saturday Night Live. He went on to work on various shows including Fame , Spencer for Hire , Everything Is Relative , and Monsters , however his roles were uncredited.

Morrow played Dr. Joel Fleischman (a young Jewish doctor) in the CBS comedy-drama television series, Northern Exposure alongside Janine Turner , John Corbett , Cynthia Geary , and Darren E.
