Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha professionally known as Rita Dominic was born into the prestigious Nwaturuocha Royal Family on the 12 July 1975 (age 47) in Mbaise Imo State. Her late parents were health care practitioners and she is the youngest among four children.

She attended the Federal Government College Ikot Ekpene Akwa Ibom after which she proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt where she obtained a BA in Theatre and Arts in 1999.

Before she started acting in Nollywood movies, Dominic started performing as a child, appearing in school plays and children’s television shows in Imo State.

On April 19, 2022, Rita Dominic and Daily Times Publisher Fidelis Anosike did their traditional wedding in Imo State.

Acting Career

Rita Dominic’s acting career started ever since she was a child, appearing in school plays and children’s television shows in Imo State. But she was brought to the limelight after appearing in a movie titled “A Time To Kill” in 1998.

In 2004, Rita Dominic won the City People Awards as the Most Outstanding Actress.

Ever since then, Rita Dominic has starred in over 100 Nollywood productions. Her career not only made her so rich and famous but also made her the current GLO Ambassador.
