She was born Rima Horton Rima Elizabeth Horton on January 31, 1947, in Bayswater, London, England. She is the daughter of Elice Irene and Wilfred Stewart Horton . She grew up in a working-class family in Bayswater along with her two brothers and later attended St. Vincent de Paul Primary School.
Horton joined the University of Southampton.
Career
Horton won election as the Labor Party, becoming its chief whip and spokesman on the London City Council for Kensington and Chelsea in 1986. She ran twice for the Labor candidate, but lost both times.
After being in a relationship for more than five decades, the couple finally decided to exchange vows in 2012 in a private ceremony. While discussing his marriage, Alan shared that,
