Little known facts

After a baccalaureate with honors in his pocket, followed by three years of English at university, Rilès gave up everything for music. Without lessons. “My father gave me a guitar when I was 11. I got by pretty quickly. When he notes what he composes, it is by drawing a keyboard and dots on the keys. “I can do everything on my own. I want to do things that no one has done, go where no one has gone,” he explains with the assurance of his 20s.

Rilès talks about his models, his inspiration. And it is among the greatest that he finds his material: J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Russ and especially Kanye West who “succeeded in popularizing modern artistic thought to introduce it into hip hop.” according to him. How not to see these American influences in his flow which he masters to perfection.

He released his first EP Vanity Plus Mind online , which he wrote and recorded when he was 17. Between 2015 and 2016, Rilès also produced a few music videos, notably for his titles Nowadays ,  College Dropout ,  Another Complaint But  and  Brothers.

From 2021 to 2022, this young artist stayed to release new singles on his project “  Rilèsundayz  ”, taking the example of his song “Better Days” which was very popular in 2022.
