First football game
In July 2015, Richarlison made his professional debut with América Mineiro in a match against Mogi Mirim. He was used as a late substitute and scored in his side’s 3–1 win.
He made his first appearance for the Brazilian giants in May 2016. Fluminense in the second leg of the second round of the Copa do Brasil. He had played a role in all three of his side’s goals in the 3-3 draw with Ferroviaria.
He made his debut for Watford in a match against Liverpool in August 2017. He was brought on by Marco Silva in the second half in a 3-3 draw.
In August 2018, Richarlison made his first start for Everton in the first game of the campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He scored both goals in his team’s 2–2 draw.

- He grew up in a rough and poor neighborhood of Vila Rúbia in his hometown of Nova Venécia. He sold ice cream and chocolates and washed cars for a little more money.
- During his childhood, most of his friends sold drugs and encouraged him to sell drugs. He managed to abstain from such activities, opting for low-paying jobs instead.
- On one occasion, believing Richarlison was a drug dealer, a man pointed a gun to his face and was trying to steal his distribution point.
- One of his first football schools was about 9 km from his home. So he ran 9 km for his training, regardless of the weather conditions.
- His parents separated when he was young. He moved in with his father because his mother couldn’t get him into football. However, he moved in with his mother at the age of 10 after his father moved.
- He was involved in charitable causes in his hometown of Nova Venécia. In May 2018, he hosted a charity game in town and donated more than 3 tons of food to underprivileged residents.
- He joined Watford FC-Fluminense in August 2017 in a deal worth £11.2million. He was close to joining Ajax but Watford agreed to include a sell-out clause in the contract, resulting in the Brazilian club agreeing a deal with the English side.
- In his only season at Watford, he was credited as the only player in the squad to have played all 38 league games for the team.
- In July 2018, Everton secured his services by agreeing a transfer with Watford. The club initially paid £35m with the possibility that fees would rise to £50m with add-ons, making him the most expensive player bought by the club.
