On Naija Netflix, The Return of the King has been produced as a seven-part film series, starring Sola Sobowale as “Alhaja Eniola Salami”, who returned to Nigeria five years after her exile.
Eniola Salami returned as a dictator to seize control of Lagos, vying for the position of Governor of Lagos.
Other Nollywood stars in the film include Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Nse-Ikpe-Etim, and Charly Boy.

The film also makes frequent use of flashbacks, showing us Young Eniola, played by Toni Tonnes, a gentle and immature version of Eniola Salami, who is constantly haunting the older Eniola, causing her to reflect on her past and who she was before, and she is currently torn between choosing her older self or going for evil.
The film depicts a lot of political fights, and how Eniola Salami will go to any length to win the governorship contest, fighting with Nse-Ikpe-Etim, known as Mrs Jumoke Randle in the movie.
Aside from the power struggle between Nse and Sola, the film also depicts Feminism, with Nse standing out as a strong-willed woman who is determined to succeed and obtain the position she wishes.
