1. In November 2016, she sparked controversy in her home country after claiming on the SBS documentary First Contact Australia has apologized to Aboriginal people for the stolen generation that the original white settlers took.
2. Renae was threatened with death by disease and rape by the people, who were offended by her Aboriginal comments.
3. Her family and her agent had to convince her to enter the Miss Australia Universe pageant. She was then 21 years old.
4. At the age of 18 she moved to Sydney to focus on her modeling career. After working there for 6 months, she moved to Germany to work there for 3 months.
