Rema’s international hit single “Calm down” has surpassed 1 billion streams across all platforms, becoming one of the few Afrobeats songs to reach the benchmark. The Nigerian music star made the announcement during his concert in the UK at the 02 Brixton Arena on Monday, 7th November.

‘Calm Down’ was released on February 11th, 2022 as one of the lead singles off Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses’. The single would go on to enjoy wide acceptance charting across Europe, reaching number one on the Belgian Ultratop 50, Dutch Top 40, and Dutch Single Top 100.

Following the remix, Rema would earn his first debut on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at NO. 74 and peaking at NO. 16 on the UK Official Singles Chart. The remix has also amassed over 141 million streams on Spotify.
