Real Madrid Builds New Stadium
The Spanish Giant Real Madrid, have delivered an update on their huge £500million development project of their Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
It can be recalled that it is nearly two years after the work began back in June 2019.
The gigantic rebuild means the club have not played at the ground this season. Furthermore, instead playing at the 6,000-capacity Estadio Alfredo di Stefano, usually the arena for the reserve side, Real Madrid Castilla.
Real tweeted a picture of the development works from their English-speaking Twitter account, with the caption: ‘WORK IN PROGRESS’.

The project will include a fixed roof which covers every seat, as well as a retractable roof which covers the entire pitch.
The current capacity of 81,000 will remain the same despite plenty of off-pitch additions.
The works will install a 360-degree screen, a shopping centre, a five-storey underground car park, and new restaurants.
In addition, an hotel will be built, with some rooms offering a view of the Bernabeu pitch.
