Following the release of JagaJaga Reloaded, the Minister for Labour and Employment Festus Keyamo has lambasted Eedris Abdul Kareem, who he said failed at dining with the government but result in criticising them.
Moreso, Keyamo shared a screenshot of messages on Twitter where the rapper was begging him for support for his sick mother and a seat in the Buhari government.
Recall that the fresh controversy between the duo started when the rapper dropped the Jaga Jaga reloaded on Tuesday, a remix of his 2004 hit of the same title featuring Mr Raw & Madarocker.
In the remix, he confronted the growing issues of police brutality, condemned the current administration citing the worsening conditions in Nigeria and also lamented the infamous Lekki killings of October 10, 2020.
However, one can say what spark the Minister’s attention was when the rapper called out the minister in the track accusing him of corruption. “Where Festus Keyamo sef? He don dey chop with cabal o”.

Reacting to the development, Nigerians on social media has garnered support for Eedris, saying when he was begging Keyamo, he was probably naive and oblivion of what he is doing.
Although many believed the situation was to draw attention away from the growing criticism of Isa Pantami, others believed the song is a replica of current Nigeria.
1.) Eedris Abdulkareem just released a song, ‘jagajaga reloaded’, where he waxed the following lyrics, “where Festus Keyamo sef? He don dey chop with cabal o”. I laughed out so loud and even danced to the rhythm too. But there’s a small story behind this poor attempt at blackmail

2.) In 2018, when I was named the Director of Strategic Communications for Buhari Campaign Organisation Eedris waxed a song in support of Buhari & wanted to join us, albeit for a fee. He then made desperate efforts to see me through text messages from his phone no. 07019691772? pic.twitter.com/rpCh8uwVLB
