Reaction swells as Rebecca Enonchong arrested and detained in Douala!

A popular figure of female entrepreneurship in Africa, Rebecca Enonchong who is based in the United States was arrested on August 10 in Douala, we learned from corroborating sources.

According to the president of the CPP, Edith Kah Walla, a “verbal complaint of the public prosecutor” would be at the origin of his arrest for “contempt of a magistrate”.

While awaiting more details on the arrest of one of the most famous and distinguished figures of female entrepreneurship in Africa, the opponent demands her immediate release. ”  Illegality and injustice in Cameroon have no limit, ” wrote the former presidential candidate.

Her arrest, Kah Walla further says was requested verbally by the Attorney General who accused her of ‘contempt of court’.

Kah Walla nevertheless mentions that they saw the African heavyweight tech today and she is in good health and excellent spirits.

Unconfirmed reports say during a meeting with the General Prosecutor Tuesday, August 10, Rebecca Enonchong requested that cases concerning her should be investigated by a single inspector. The Attorney General is said to have taken it as an offence.

She was being investigated in a family case opposing her to her brother. However, Rebecca Enonchong reportedly discovered that the said investigation was run by several investigators, the reason why she made the above-mentioned request considered as an offence.
