According to the president of the CPP, Edith Kah Walla, a “verbal complaint of the public prosecutor” would be at the origin of his arrest for “contempt of a magistrate”.

Her arrest, Kah Walla further says was requested verbally by the Attorney General who accused her of ‘contempt of court’.

Unconfirmed reports say during a meeting with the General Prosecutor Tuesday, August 10, Rebecca Enonchong requested that cases concerning her should be investigated by a single inspector. The Attorney General is said to have taken it as an offence.
She was being investigated in a family case opposing her to her brother. However, Rebecca Enonchong reportedly discovered that the said investigation was run by several investigators, the reason why she made the above-mentioned request considered as an offence.
