Oxlade has released his first single for 2021, and it is titled “Ojuju,” and was produced by renowned music producer, Coublon.
This new single serves as a follow-up to “DKT” released in September 2020. However, the term “Ojuju” can simply refer to as a masquerade in various Nigerian dialects. Oxlade seems to be scared of Ojuju.
Meanwhile, the artist’s real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, but he is best known in the music industry by his stage name Oxlade. He was born on April 22nd 1997 and was brought up by his grandmother after losing his mum at an early age.
He attended Lagos State University (LASU) for two years before dropping out to pursue a career in music. What is perhaps less known to his fans is that he began his musical journey in the church at the age of 10.
Such was his talent that at barely ten years old, he became a junior choir leader in the church. Upon his transition from gospel to secular music, Oxlade received harsh criticism from his uncles. However, this did not deter his dream to venture into the secular music industry.
However, the Nigeria Twitter space have been reacting to his new single, saying it is a melodious song that mesmerizes their ears.

Oxlade's earlier songs are mostly about love, being in love or trying his best for a babe. His recent works are now almost about him losing his courage for love and now shying away from it. Hope they haven't broken him too much for his hopeless romantic light to dwindle
