Ray Toro is an American musician and songwriter best known as the lead guitarist for the band My Chemical Romance. The band formed in the late 1990s and included four musicians: Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Shawn Dillon and Pelissier. Ray Toro was in charge of a tour they organized in Japan dedicated to those affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that damaged life and property. They donated all proceeds from the tour to the Red Cross. Before the band broke up in 2013, they had already released up to 6 albums, 4 of which were studio albums. They had also released more than 10 performances as features on other albums and 15 music videos. They were about to release their fifth studio album when the band split up.
After their split, Ray Toro had also toured with other bands. He joined the James Dewees band on tour in late 2013. Ray released a solo song titled Ain’t That Something? in May 2013. This song was an entirely solo song with every sound from the instruments to the voice to the mixing of sounds created by him. Ray Toro has also had screen time alongside his musical career, appearing in films and television shows. He appeared in a movie titled Punk Rock Holocaust 2 in 2007. It was a comedy horror movie. He also appeared in an episode of Conan (2011) with the band My Chemical Romance.
