‘To serve and protect’  has become  one of the most iconic fiction shows on RTVE , there is no doubt about that. Since it was released on the network, the Southern District Police Corps has won the audience’s attention with its intense plot. With more than 1,100 episodes broadcast, the series arrives every afternoon to show viewers what are those advances that are hanging over the investigations of the best-known commissioner on television, a heart attack team that  includes stars such as Raquel Meroño , among others.

The actress joined the cast of the production of the Spanish chain to  give life to one of her characters, Martina. A key character in the plot that, for obvious reasons, has not left anyone indifferent. For this reason, and given that she has become one of the artists of the moment, we will address a little more in depth about the actress of this popular series,  a woman originally from Madrid who has a completely brilliant professional career. You’ll be surprised!

YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Born on February 13, 1975 in Madrid, Spain, Raquel Meroño is an actress, journalist, and television presenter. She knew from a very young age that she wanted to be an artist and dedicate herself to show business, so at the age of 16 she began her career as a model. She combined her journalism studies with sporadic jobs in advertising or television. The starting signal for her on the small screen was as a hostess for the ‘One for all’ contest.

A first contact that led her later, in 1996, to present ‘Pelotas fuera’ on Antena 3 and in 1997, she was a member of the jury of the program ‘Menudas estrellas’ on the same channel. The following years she was chosen to be part of the cast of projects such as the youth series ‘Al salir de clase’, ‘Esencia de poder’, the TVE series ‘Paco y Veva’, and in 2005 she participated in an episode of ‘Aida’.

In addition to continuing her career as an actress and participating in numerous fictions, Raquel Meroño has joined several television adventures. In 2004 she was one of the celebrities who entered the first edition of ‘Big Brother VIP: The Challenge’, without much success, she has also been a contestant on ‘Furor’, ‘The great musical challenge’, or ‘MasteChef Celebrity’, among other contests.

Of course, it should be noted that the actress participated in the 2020 edition of the culinary program and became the absolute winner. As for the cinema, in 2005 she worked in several Italian films and in other Spanish ones such as ‘Airbag’.

On a personal level, Raquel Meroño is shown to be a faithful follower of social networks. In fact, on her Instagram account she has more than 278,000 followers, a platform where she also shares her closest and most intimate face. In addition, she has shown that, not counting her interpretation, she loves the world of fashion, gastronomy, and cinema.

On the other hand, in the field of love , the actress was married to Santi Carbones and is the mother of two girls, Daniela and Martina. But, currently, and as reported by the magazine ‘Semana’, Raquel has once again recovered the illusion of love with a man who is a friend of her ex-husband, Eduardo Zulueta.
