The veteran actor was born on May 12, 1981 as Rami Said Malek. He was born as the son of Egyptian immigrant parents Nelly Abdel-Malek and Said Malek in Torrance, California, United States. In 1978, his parents and older sister Yasmine immigrated from Cairo to Sherman Oaks, USA. At the time, her father was working as a travel agent and tour guide. After arriving in the United States, her father worked as an insurance agent while her mother, an accountant.
