Rae Allen
She was known by titles like “The Sopranos” and “Damn Yankees.” Veteran actress Rae Allen passed away on April 6, 2022, at the age of 95, her representative confirmed. “I had the pleasure of representing Rae Allen for over 20 years. She was one of the most talented actresses I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I will be forever grateful to have been a part of her incredible journey,” she comments.
Born in Brooklyn on July 23, 1926, Rae Allen studied theater at the HB Studio in Greenwich Village. She graduated from the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, before beginning her journey on Broadway. She won the Tony Award for Best Actress for “And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little” in 1971. Not only that, but she had a huge success with Damn Yankees , for which she too was cast in the film version.
Rae Allen is remembered as Quintina Blundetto, Tony’s aunt, on The Sopranos . She also appeared on Seinfeld , as unemployment counselor Lenore Sokol.
