Rachelle Lefevre
A talented redhead, the saga that began with Twilight has placed her on the cinema map. But she still has a lot to offer on the big screen.
Born in Montreal (Canada), on February 1, 1979, Rachelle Marie Lefevre is the daughter of an English teacher and a psychologist. She studied Creative Arts at Dawson College, a prestigious institution in her hometown, and later enrolled in education and literature at McGill University.
While finishing these studies, she worked as a waitress in Westmount. A television producer, a regular customer of her establishment, heard that she wanted to be an actress, and suggested that she take a test. That was how they signed her for a secondary role in the series A werewolf on campus , which gave her some popularity in her country.
In addition to appearing in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind , she made numerous video clips, eventually moving to Los Angeles, where she made films such as Noel , directed by Chazz Palminteri , and Girl’s Games . She also briefly went through well-known series like Bones , The Closer and How I Met Your Mother .
But the film that marked a turning point in her career was Twilight , where she played the renegade and evil vampire Victoria. He was cast in the role of her after writing an impassioned letter to her director, Catherine Hardwicke , in which he explained that he was looking forward to working with her. She prepared the character by watching the lion’s movements as it attacked its prey on YouTube.
Although she reprized the character in New Moon , the second installment, in the third, Eclipse , she was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard . The producer of the saga, Summit Entertainment, claimed that there were scheduling problems, but the actress declared that this was not true and that she felt sad, which caused some protests from fans of the films.
The actress then filmed The World According to Barney , where she plays the first wife of the lead, played by Paul Giamatti . She has also appeared in Casino Jack , with Kevin Spacey , and in the series Off the Map , and stars in the thriller The Caller .
Known for her constant charitable donations, Rachelle Lefevre doesn’t air her private life too much. She was dating in 2009 with Jamie King , an actor who could be seen in the series The Tudors .
