Prue Shaw (born 1949) is an Australian academic, author, publisher and consultant from Sydney, Australia. She is a lecturer in Italian studies at the University of London. Also, her Prue herself is the author of a book i.e. Reading Dante: From Here to Eternity.
She is the ex-wife of Clive James (poet, broadcaster, essayist and author). On the other hand, Clive acclaimed for the poem Japanese Maple. He earned the respect of literary circles.
Mr. James appeared on TV shows like Clive James on Television. However, he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2010. In 1992, Clive became a member of the Order of Australia. He was a heavy drinker and smoker in his early years.
The media spread the news of his kidney failure in 2011. On the other hand, the broadcast BBC interview told about the reports of his death. James also wrote a weekly column in The Guardian i.e. My Death Reports. However, he died at his Cambridge home on November 24, 2019.
