Prince Nikolai of Denmark is a member of the Danish royal family. Nikolai is the eldest son of Prince Joachim and Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, who is his first wife. When he was born, he was third in line of successors after his father and uncle. However, as of 2018 he was the sixth in line of succession to the Danish throne. He was confirmed in 2013 in the presence of the Castle Church in Fredensborg by his immediate family and godparents, the Crown Prince of Denmark Nicola Baird, Peter Steenstrup, Camilla Flint and the Earl of Wessex.

In 2018, Prince Nikolai of Denmark began workingas a model. He was accepted into modeling agency Scoop Models and debuted at London Fashion Week in early 2018. The prince was accepted into Hærens Sergentskole in Varde, where he will be training as a reserve officer for two years.
