The famous singer Prince has been found dead, at the age of 57, in his recording studio in Minnesota, his agent has revealed.

Born in Minneapolis on June 7, 1958, Prince Rogers Nelson was the son of a jazz band musician. He learned to play instruments by ear, according to his own statements he managed around 30. In 1978 he recorded his first album, “For You”, in which all the songs are composed by him and he plays all the instruments that can be heard on the disc. He established himself the following year with his album “Prince”.

He would reach the height of his popularity with his work “Purple Rain”, which gave rise to the film of the same name , with which he made his debut on the big screen playing “El Niño”, a boy who aspires to succeed in the world of music. He reprized the character in Graffiti Bridge . The singer tried his hand at directing with Under the Cherry Moon , also starring him.

In 1989 he composed a musical theme for Tim Burton ‘s film Batman , which became a huge success, as well as his album inspired by the film.

Between 1993 and 2000 he changed his artistic name to an unpronounceable symbol, which is why he used to be known as The Artist Before Known as Prince.
