President Buhari Pledges His Utmost Support to Victims of Flood
The President of the federal republic of Nigeria has expressed his concern to Nigerians in 32 states who are affected by the flood as a result of the heavy rainfall happening daily around the country.
The President of the federal republic of Nigeria has shown his concern to Nigerians in 32 states who are affected by the flood as a result of the heavy rainfall happening daily around the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his concern to thousands of Nigerians who have lost their homes, farms and their lives as a result of the flood.
The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu quoted the president in a statement he presented on Wednesday in Abuja stating that
“I am constantly monitoring the situation and we will ensure that all possible help is extended to victims.”
The president further enjoined the State governments, citizens, and National Emergency Management Authority to ensure that they follow the weather forecast regularly in order to be able to avert some disasters as this.
The president however applauded states that were able to take caution against the flood early on time, and he assured that the federal government would work on NEMA’s emergencies and he assured the victims of the flood that the government would extend all supports they can to everyone affected.
