Peter Strzok is a former FBI agent and served as the head of the counterintelligence section when he was fired. He had to quit his post due to the revelation of his text message highlighting the Trump presidency to his colleague Lisa Page . As a result of the plot, FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich fired him on August 10, 2018. After that, Strzok in return filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the FBI and the Justice Department.

PETER STRZOK: BIOGRAPHY, FAMILY, EDUCATION

He was born on March 7, 1970 as Peter Paul Strzok II in Sault Ste. Mary, Michigan, USA. He was born as the son of parents Peter Paul Strzok and Virginia Sue Harris. His father worked as a lieutenant colonel in the US Army serving in the Corps of Engineers. He has an American nationality and belongs to Polish descent.

Regarding his education, he completed his high school education from St. John’s Preparatory School in Minnesota in 1987. Before that, he had attended Tehran Elementary School in American School as his father was assigned three times in Iran. In 1991, he received a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in 2013.

Despite his contribution to his work, he had to leave the Mueller investigation at the end of July 2017 because of his personal message to a colleague. However, the investigation by SMS has been handed over to the IG of the Ministry of Justice and the investigation has already started in January 2017. But the investigations were reported in March/April 2018 due to investigations related to the election.

After legal action, the Deputy Director of the FBI fired him on August 10, 2018, and the decision voided professional liability. On August 6, 2019, he filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the DOJ and FBI, filed for reinstatement, and received payment. The lawsuit also reported violating his privacy by posting text messages.

He is a married man and is married to his longtime girlfriend, Melissa Hodgman. The couple met when they were in college and alumni of Georgetown University. After getting to know each other, they exchanged vows in 1994. Together, the couple live in a house in Fairfax, Virginia, purchased in 2003.
