Peter Obi, Tinubu, others commiserates with Davido over loss of son

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has commiserated with Davido and Chioma over the loss of their first son.

Recall, that David Adeleke and Chioma Rowland lost their Son ifeanyi Adeleke, after he drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence  few days after his third birthday.

In his tweet, the Labour Party’s flag bearer said it is impossible to imagine the pain the duo and the entire Adeleke family are going through at the moment.

His words: “I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment.

“May God grant them healing, strength, and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.-PO”

Meanwhile, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also reacted to the death of Ifeanyi.

Tinubu prayed that God would give Davido and Chioma the strength to bear the loss.

He described Ifeanyi’s death as a tragic loss.

In a tweet, Tinubu wrote: “Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”

The PDP deputy governorship candidate of Lagos State, Funke Akindele, also prayed for the deceased’s parents over the loss.

The actress wrote, “This is so sad!! Ha!! Rest In Peace little champ. May the almighty God comfort Chioma,Davido and their families.”

Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday announced suspension of political activities in honour of Ifeanyi.

The party commiserate with Davido and his father, Dr Deji Adeleke, over the loss of their son and grandson.

The statement partly read, “Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family.

“We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has brought in eight domestic workers of the singer for questioning concerning the child’s death.
