Peter Mensah is a Ghanaian-British actor, best known for his roles in the films Tears of the Sun, Hidalgo, 300 and television series such as Starz’s Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: Vengeance.
Peter’s film credits include Avatar, 300, Hidalgo, Tears of the Sun, Jason X, Harvard Man, Bless the Child and The Incredible Hulk. He also stars in the short film The Seed, produced and directed by DJ Joe Hahn of Linkin Park. He has made television appearances in Star Trek: Enterprise, Tracker, Witchblade, Blue Murder, Relic Hunter, Earth: Final Conflict, Highlander: The Raven, and La Femme Nikita.

Peter Mensah of the Spartacus series spots one of the best bodies in entertainment. Part of the reason he has such a lean muscular body is that he has practiced martial arts since childhood and naturally through practicing martial arts he has developed a lean, flexible physique and a set of ripped abdomen .
Even though Peter was already lean and in great shape for Spartacus, he also did some extra training with the Spartacus team, their goal was for the main players, the Gladiators to have well-toned athletic muscles, functional muscles so they could Move fast and look awesome during the different action scenes.
These guys really trained like gladiators, they used a combination of bodyweight and free weight exercises with a focus on basic compound exercises. They even sent all the cast to a Gladiator 3 boot camp (which included cardio as well as core training) weeks before filming began to get the cast in even better condition.
To look so ripped, they also had intense cardio training that involved functional cardio workouts like sessions on the rowing machine, medicine ball throws, mountain climbers, and shuttle runs.
It must have been one of the toughest jobs, as it included intense workouts, plus acting and action scenes. Obviously Peter and the Spartacus guys had to eat a lot of food with energy like energy drinks but their diet had to be low in calories at the same time to allow fat loss so they stuck to away from sugars and alcohol. beverages such as beer.
