Peter Facinelli

The New Yorker Peter Facinelli was born on November 26, 1973 in the neighborhood of Queens, in the bosom of a Catholic family. His parents, Bruna –housewife– and Peter –waiter– were humble Italian immigrants. He studied acting in his hometown, at the Atlantic Theater School of Acting, where he had teachers such as William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman , his wife.

Dark characters have haunted him, as Peter Facinelli made his debut playing Lucifer in Angela , Rebecca Miller ‘s first film , about a ten-year-old girl. Shortly after, he starred in the telefilm El precio del amor , where he began to attract public attention.

During the filming of his next job, another telefilm titled Unfinished Romance , he fell in love with the lead actress as soon as he met her. This is Jennie Garth , famous for her role as Kelly Taylor in the Sensation of Living series . After a long courtship, they both married on January 20, 2001, after she converted to Catholicism. They have so far had three daughters: Bella (not named after Twilight ), Lola Ray, and Fiona Eve.

Facinelli began to gain prestige among the most international moviegoers with The Big Shot , where he was a representative of a lubricant company, young, naive, and wanting to conquer the world. The boy achieved the feat of not detracting from his illustrious co-stars, Kevin Spacey and Danny DeVito in full interpretive form.

After a series of supporting roles in Supernova , My Life and The Scorpion King , Facinelli became very popular in America as the lead in the thriller series Fastlane: Special Squad, created by McG. His character, Van Ray, was a surfer-turned-cop. He also had a great acceptance of his work in the series Two Meters Underground , where he was an art student who dazzled Claire Fisher, the sister of the protagonists.

Facinelli is a very prolific actor, who has taken part in some other series, such as Damages and Nurse Jackie , and in films like Finding Amanda or Hollow Man II . But his fame multiplied ad infinitum when he agreed to play Carlisle Cullen, the vegetarian doctor who acts as a father figure to Edward Cullen and his vampiric siblings, in Twilight . He admits that the rest of the actors in the saga – Kristen Stewart , Robert Pattinsonand company– who have only been around for ten years, have him as a protective figure. “Spontaneously they called me daddy and I found it cute, funny. Yes, I am a father figure, but I am a father: I have three daughters and the instinct to protect my family is very present”, says Facinelli. He has reprized his character in New Moon and Eclipse , the next two installments in the saga.
